As South Africa heads into the weekend, the weather forecast predicts predominantly fine and cool conditions for Saturday. Several regions will experience morning mist and fog, accompanied by light winds. In Gauteng, temperatures are expected to remain cool but will warm up in the northern parts of the province. Similarly, Mpumalanga and the North West region can anticipate clear skies with a range of cool to warm temperatures. Limpopo will start the day with mist in the Western Bushveld areas, clearing to warmer conditions as the day progresses.

The Free State is set to remain cool with partly cloudy skies forecasted for the western parts. Meanwhile, the Northern Cape and Western Cape will experience partly cloudy weather, with coastal areas likely to see fog patches during the morning and evening hours. Over in the Eastern Cape, northern areas should prepare for morning frost, while coastal regions will experience moderate to fresh winds. In KwaZulu-Natal, morning mist is expected along the coast and nearby inland areas before transitioning to fine and mild weather later in the day.

Sun exposure levels will vary across the country, with the UVB sunburn index projected to be high in Gauteng and very high in the Western Cape. In contrast, KwaZulu-Natal will experience moderate UVB levels, offering a bit of respite.

Notably, there are no current weather alerts, fire danger warnings, or advisories issued for Saturday. This suggests a relatively calm weather day ahead for South Africa’s diverse regions.
